Our Process
Mermaid’s seeks to recreate the classic experience of heading down to the local coast and buying freshly caught seafood. But without the risks that come with it. By partnering with aquafarms and fisheries who share our ethos for quality, we have access to the freshest and best quality seafood. We process the catch at factories that meet our stringent quality standards and distribute it across the country via our sophisticated, highly efficient delivery network.
Distance delivery of fish is an expensive and challenging business. You need to package well and deliver quickly. And we do it well. Our delivery network is designed such that transport takes the lowest time possible. This means shorter routes and more localised delivery. Our expansive network enables us to do it this way, resulting in both reduced emissions and lower commercial cost.
Throughout the process, we religiously follow our core values of compassion, integrity and reliability. By working with diminished fishing communities, we operate with the satisfaction of empowering them. This also allows their excellent produce to be relished across the country whilst reducing our carbon footprint
